All prepared pastes were passed through the coextruder at three different extrusion velocities. The loads (Table 111) required for co-extrusion were measured and compared with the predicted values. The predicted values in Table 111 were calculated by substituting the parameters given in Table I1 into equations (2) to (1 1). The values of error show the fit of the model to the experimental data. For paste type I, predicted forces are overestimated, the differences being within 15%. For types I1 and 111, predicted values are lower than experimental data, the error is in the range of -20 to -30%.

A SiC/SiC chamber developed by IHI was manufactured and evaluated using leak, pressure proof and hot firing tests. 5 MPa proof pressure test. To estimate damage from hot firing and thermal shock, the residual strength and Inter Laminar Shear Strength (ILSS) were measured by the water quench test using the test coupons.
